THOUGHTS FROM THE OVERGROWTH

Temple of the Wasted
We held a meeting every other day and planned our futures.
Our futures being the next immediate few hours of drug use, laughter and music.
There was never any future for us...We didn't want one.
Who wanted to think of tomorrow when you could erase today?
We were that wasted we could only see sideways, or around the corner.
The outside world was too terrible, too ugly and too dam stupid
to be allowed within the temple walls.
Sight beyond sight and paranoia were the brews for the morn.
Ultimately we were in love with the planet.
But were disgusted by the world.
We hated it, but we loved the timeless days of intoxication.
Days spent free and with money only for substances to blot out the grey adult world of dead ends and sacrificed dreams.
Youth and the last days of innocence were still heavy in the air before we dived headfirst into the pointless grind of adulthood.
Before we sank under the scum line of modern lifes dirty bath.
