Obscured

Why dwell on the past and study the stars?

What's gone is gone.

And the stars are no more.

They lived and moved on.

You dwell on the past, you have no future.

A smile is a safe thing to hide behind.

The sun is an ego thing, of the mind.

Love is unique amongst human needs.

Hunger, thirst, sleep can all be dealt with.

Love is unattainable.

It's the one goal that can never be satisfied.

I came into this world covered in someone else's blood and screaming.

I'm not afraid to leave it the same way.

We're animals savouring the taste of instint.

Blood is the life, blood is the key.

Pure, youthfull and renewed.

Our darkness.

It's just fate.

A stupid bit of cloth in the wind.

Rotting concrete

Another world.

Obscured.
